“DAYS OF NEW MUSIC”

4 – 5 October 2013

“Im Ernst?!” (“Seriously? - Are you kidding?”)

In 2010 the concept of “Days of New Music” was introduced by Richard Graf to represent and promote Lower Austria’s creative and contemporary music scene. This comprehensive musical concept includes pedagogical as well as scholarly aspects.

The programme “Days of New Music” is under the patronage of LH Dr. Erwin PRÖLL, head of the provincial government of Lower Austria.

The title of this year’s festival is “Im Ernst?!” (“Seriously? - Are you kidding?”): It implies the motif of musical wit, witticism, esprit, fun, humour, hilarity, jocularity, amusement, and gags   and also poses the question: “May New Music be amusingly funny and thrillingly witty?”
