Under the title "Der Musikalische Scherz", "Quartetto bruto" by David Wagner was premiered on September 9, 2021 in the church of Waidhofen an der Thaya. The Auner Quartet (Daniel Auner and Barbara Galante Auner, violins, Nikita Gerkusov, viola and Konstantin Zelenin, cello) played the composer's award-winning string quartet in his presence. The humorous work was enthusiastically applauded by the audience.
